FREE SEO Secrets: The Poor Man’s Guide to SEO
When you're starting out in MLM, Network Marketing, Direct Sales or any Business Venture, you need Traffic to Your Website. It's great to have a website, but if no one sees it, no benefit is derived. SEO (search engine optimization) can be complex and in some cases expensive (relatively speaking because no traffic is even more expensive). Here are the 10 Secrets to use when on a shoe string budget when beginning a business. These will HELP bring traffic to your site.
1. Do buy your own domain. Use less than 20 characters in your domain or website name. Use words that are simple and easy to spell. You can buy most domains for less than $10 per year. You appear more professional and people will take you seriously. Make sure where you host your site allows for you or anyone of your choosing to enter your own keywords.
2. Use appropriate Keywords. Use content relevant keywords. If you are selling a juice product, you need keywords such as juice, supplement, fitness, nutrition, health, etc. There are free keyword tools online such as provided by Google.
3. Quality content is a must. The Best SEO techniques will not overcome poor and relevant content. If you can't write quality content, get someone to do it for you. Remember the search engines like fresh and keyword rich content (no too rich or dense, usually less than 3% density). Your content has to make you appear as an expert on the topic.
4. Key Phrases are usually superior to one word. For example, if you use words like health or nutrition, they are very competitive in the search engines. In other words, millions of sites will have they keywords. Phrases will lessen that competition and give more uniqueness to your keywording. Remember, the more unique your phrases (or even keywords for that matter) the more likely someone will pull up your site. Let's go back to the word health and nutrition. If relevant, you may say health care for your kidneys. Again, if relevant, instead of using just nutrition, you may use vital nutrition for your heart.
5. Place keywords or phrases at the beginning of your content and at the end of your content, especially before any copyright statements near the end of your content.
6. Bold words get more attention from Search Engines in general. Utilize them well for your keywords or phrases.
7. Italicized words get more attention from Search Engines in general. Utilize them well for your keywords or phrases or even logos.
8. Underlined words get more attention from Search Engines in general. Utilize them well for your keywords or phrases or even logos.
9. Use phrases or words that convey to the search engines that you are about to give good information or content. That is the point why people use search engines. So, when the engines crawl, they look for keywords or phrases that convey INFORMATION AHEAD! Examples of words or phrases that convey information ahead include: Dictionary, Database, Secret Revealed, Information Page, What is ...?, What are.....?, Who is....? and on and on. You get the point.
10. Use use dot com for your domain or website name. People remember those better! But buy the dot info, dot net, and dot org as well. Buy the plural names as well if you can afford it.
